David Loomans's Biography:

Dave leads a team at Greenheck Corporation that has created a 100% cloud and microservices based application for product selection, configuration, pricing, and quotation. Configit Model and Runtime are key components of this implementation.

Cycling 10,000 km in one year is no small feat for a 50-something amateur cyclist, but that is exactly what Dave Loomans attempts each year. Long hours in the saddle provide the perfect setting to contemplate the challenges of configuration management that bridge both systems of engagement (eCommerce) and systems of record (ERP).

In his spare time, Dave chairs the (SAP) ASUG’s Configure, Price, and Quote special interest group alongside Configit president Scott Perdue. His past configuration experience includes SAP implementation project manager, Configuration Work Group (CWG) president and CWG board member.

CLM: Usage in the Building Designs Process

Presentation Description:

As the construction industry looks for better and more efficient ways to design and construct buildings, 3D construction models are becoming the standard.

Using Configit’s functionality to build an application to meet the needs of building design engineers, Greenheck demonstrates how configuration can be used in the early design phase of construction projects. It also shows how configured 3D product models can be created and inserted into the building model.

These models can include configuration-driven products and systems to enable building design engineers to drive critical parts of their building models.
