Configuration Lifecycle Management (CLM) is the management of configuration definitions and configurations across all involved business processes applied throughout the lifecycle of a configurable product.
For companies selling configurable products CLM has an impact, no only on the customers’ buying experience, but also for RnD, Engineering, Production, Marketing and Sales as it allows companies to work with configurations at an abstracted level and maintain the customers’ uniquely configured products.
